Briargh is one of my main projects. It is my very personal view about paganism and mysticism. It started between the last of 2002 and very early 2003, when I began to write some stuff in this way, a bit different to my other important project in that time: CrystalMoors.
In 2003 the Briargh concept was set and I recorded «Labaros», the first demo, to be released on tape by any of the stupid boom of tape labels of that epoch. Finally, and after some sterile talkings, I decided to advance with the project and record the second demo, in the same year. This was named «A Black Mark over the Land», and was released in split tape with Tanat through Blitzkrieg 41 Records (Germany). 200 copies were sold out very soon.
In 2004, I recorded «Soledad», the third demo, which suffered the same shit than «Labaros». In fact, it was worse than «Labaros», because a stupid Russian label ripped off the promo I sent (even the cover art) and they offered a very poor release. Something really stupid and retarded.
Between the years 2004 and 2005, I recorded «Kanttrug», the official first album of Briargh. A raw and epic full length of Black/Pagan Metal sung in English, Spanish and Protoceltic. I contacted with a label, which name shall not be written, that offered me a signed contract that never fulfilled.
2006 came with «En el Bosque de Erudinus», a demo tape released by Blood & Soil Productions (Spain), in a good quality print of 300 copies. This tape is in fact a compilation of the unpublished demos and at last, the maniacs had an official release of «Labaros» and «Soledad».
Finally, and after of a couple of years of delay, I released «Kanttrug» through my own label: Draug-Dûr Productions (Spain). I used a cover art I did by myself and a design and so I started a strong Underground promotion and distribution worldwide.
In the same year of 2007, Werewolf Promotion (Poland) released «Kanttrug» in tape format. And Fatal Ecstasy Productions (Belarus) re-released the CD version in 2009.
In 2009, Steel Blaze Productions (Poland) offered me to release a demo compilation, including «Labaros», «A Black Mark over the Land» and «Soledad» demos. I accepted and they released a CDr under the name of «Ebro». At the same time, War Flagellation Productions (Portugal) did the same in tape format. And in 2012, Azermedoth Records (Mexico) re-released «Ebro» in CD, with a very good quality cover art by Igor Mugerza and two extra songs: «Renacimiento» and «En la Quietud de la Noche».
In the same year 2009, I recorded «Krigas», the second album. This is the best Briargh stuff till date and I am very proud of this one. I recorded drums in The Damned Studios and the rest was done in my own studio recording: Khazad-Dûm Studios, like always.
One year after, Lower Silesian Stronghold (Poland) released «Krigas» in CD and it began a good cooperation with both of us K. and me. In the same year 2010, I released this album in tape format via Werewolf Promotion (Poland).

In 2010 I recorded the EP «Vn Antigvo Trono Olvidado» that I released by myself only to support the Briargh orders as extra and exclusive stuff for the fans. But after of some talkings, I decided to make a good release of it and Lower Silesian Stronghold (Poland) took care of it, obtaining really good reviews and comments. This happened in 2012.
In 2011 I recorded «Cult of the Ancient Oak» to be released in a four way split CD with Xerión, Sentimen Beltza and Doom of Valyria through the Mexican label Azermedoth Records. Igor Mugerza did the cover art again, with a really well done image. This album was out in 2012, after of some delays, and it reached a lot of good reactions between the media and fans.
In 2012 I left CrystalMoors, the band I created back in 1995, and focused all my personal style in Briargh.
I cannot rest so, I recorded «Restoration» for another split CD, this time with the Greek duo of raw Black Metal Aasgard. This material was released between Lower Silesian Stronghold (Poland) and Darker than Black Records (Germany) in the year of 2012.
Between the years 2011 and 2012, I recorded «Marwo Noxtos» for a split CD with Heilnoz. This stuff was released also via Lower Silesian Stronghold (Poland) in 2013, limited to 1000 copies. This split album was named «Omen of the Last Autumn», and offered two different views of Pagan/Black Metal.
In 2015 «Eboros» was released through Lower Silesian Stronghold (Poland) in CD, again in 1000 copies, and 300 copies in tape format by Morbid Shrine Productions (Spain). This is the third full lenght and I tried a style mixture between «Kanttrug» and «Krigas». A more Black Metal approach, with not much Celtic influences in it’s music. The cover picture and all interior pictures were made by the photographer Iván Vieito and my illustration by Enserune, as well as the female vocals of the album.
After of «Eboros», I started the recording sessions of the next one, but a lot of shit came to my life so I left it in a hiatus until today. I plan to reactive this recording and finish it in early 2020.
